In early April I joined over 100 Local Economic Development professionals on the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) BIA Staff Weekly Zoom meeting, to discuss how we are collectively offering support to small businesses – mitigating losses, and moving forward together during these unprecedented times.

Since the onset of the global pandemic, more people are looking for alternative ways to connect and do business online, as consumer habits shift. We need to protect the long-term viability of the small and medium-size businesses that keep our mainstreets vibrant and thriving.

I intend to continue to work as a multi-disciplined community builder, collaborating with BIAs through the recovery phase and supporting the revitalization of our main streets.
